Bi-levelling scissor and boom lift manafacturer Almac has appointed a new export sales manager.

Oana Samoila has joined Almac from low level access equipment manufacturer Bravi Platforms, both based in Italy, where she worked for 15 months as sales and marketing specialist and area manager for Italy, UK, Spain and Portugal.

Samoila will be based in Italy and will be responsible for Italy and the UK, with the goal of expending business in those countries in line with its existing distributor network and UK Almac sales manager Malcolm Kitt.

Prior to working in the access industry Samoila was a language specialist, then worked for International House as head of sales and training for four years.

Andrea Artoni, Almac’s general manager, said, “I am very pleased that Oana has joined our team. Her professionalism and ability to think outside the box will definitely mix well with Almac’s unique way of doing business.

“The fast growth of our company and increased business sales, thanks to expanded and qualified worldwide partnerships, needed stronger dedicated team to respond more efficiently to our partners and customers’ needs and expectations.

“I’m sure that together with Jonathan Vioni, our other export area manager and the rest of the sales team, we will definitely be able to reach our ambitious targets.”
