AlmaCrawler appoints UK service partner

Italy-based tracked platform lift manufacturer AlmaCrawler has appointed Alfa Access Services (AAS) as its new services provider in the UK.
Established in 2009, ASS provides call-out services for MEWP owners and users across the UK from its head office in Nottinghamshire. It carries out scheduled equipment maintenance and repairs at its customers’ locations, and also offers major repair and refurbishment work at its Cambridgeshire workshop.
The service deal between AlmaCrawlers and Alfa Access Services was negotiated over several online meetings.
Andrea Artoni, AlmaCrawler’s general manager, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Alfa Access Services to provide full service to all AlmaCrawler products for an extensive area of the UK.
“This will strengthen our presence, first and foremost benefiting our longstanding and new clients because they will be able to rely on expert, professional advice and support.”
The deal with AAS is another move in AlmaCrawler’s ambitious growth plan and follows the appointment of Irish distributor Inspectec and the launch of the manufacturer’s new Billennium equipment series.
According to AlmaCrawler, which recently opened its new Almac Atlantic subsidiary in the UK, the service deal will also see ASS provide LOLER inspections (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) for its range of self-levelling crawler platforms.
These inspections, which must be undertaken by an impartial competent person, will be carried out by AAS’s IPAF CAP certified engineers.
ASS currently offers LOLER tests for equipment from a range of manufacturers, including Genie, ELS Lift, Haulotte, Niftylift, Skyjack, Denka, JLG, Manitou and others.
