AlmaCrawler launches the Billennium series

Almac Billennium series

AlmaCrawler is expanding its tracked platform lift range with the launch of the Billennium series.

The new series, which the Italian manufacturer describes as a spider boom, is designed to combine the key features of wheeled self propelled aerial platforms and tracked platforms with stabilisers.

The first two models in the series are the B1570 and B1890, with workings height of 15m and 18m, respectively, and two different types of automatic stabilisation: fixed - Visual or variable - Quick-Pro.

There are three power options: the ETS version with petrol engine, the diesel Evo version and full electric lithium LTH version. All three are designed to be compact with a minimum width of 0.79m and maximum weight of 2600kg - 2900kg, to allow transport on standard trailers.

AlmaCrawler Billennium series AlmaCrawler launches the Billennium series, with 15m and 18m working height models.

The Billennium models offer an operating outreach of 10m and 11m, depending on the model and a maximum load capacity in the basket of 230kg and 250kg, thanks to new technological features.

The new patent-pending Self Propelled Skilled System (SPS) allows the machine to be used without lowering the stabilisers on slopes up to 10° longitudinally and 5° laterally. In this way the platform can be used at up to 9m working height.

Another patent-pending system, Adaptive Working Performance (AWP), provides optimisation of outreach during operation, by continuously monitoring the stabilisation area in real time.

Finally, all models in the new series are equipped with automatic stabilisation as standard, which comes in the previously mentioned two options of Visual, which offers automatic stabilisation within a fixed area, and Quick-Pro. The Quick-Pro provides fully automated stabilisation in variable areas, with six different easily selectable machine positioning combinations. By automatically interacting with the AWP system, it is designed to give the operator the best possible outreach performance at any given time.

The Billennium series’ new chassis, named Undercarriage XXL, is designed to increase safety in daily loading/unloading and movement of the platform, within its compact dimensions. The variable track is 0.79m - 1.39m wide on an undercarriage that is no more than 2m long. Its unique Automatic Tensioner System (ATS) provide a zero maintenance hydraulic system for automatic tensioning of the track.

Another feature, the resizable Tasket Basket does not require disassembly to pass through narrow spaces, while maintaining the minimum width of 0.79m for two operators. The existing AlmaCrawler Winch Kit Series 200 can also be used on the Billennium series and can handle loads up to 200kg.

Deliveries of the first two models in the series will start from June 2021.
