Heavy specialized transport rental and equipment installation specialist Entec, in Brazil, has taken delivery of a Terex AC 500-2 all terrain crane.

The 8-axle 500 tonner has a maximum working height of 145.8 metres when configured with a luffing fly jib. It was transported from port at Antwerp in Belgium nonstop to Manaus in Brazil by ship. A Terex AC 350/6 and an AC 200-1 were used to unload the new crane off the ship.

Reinaldo Longhi, Entec commercial director, said, “We are very happy with our Terex all terrain cranes, so when we wanted to expand our fleet both in number and capacity, the decision came naturally. Our new Terex AC 500-2 will allow Entec to maintain its leadership in the Amazon region.”

The first project for the new crane is the construction and installation of thermoelectric power plants in the north of Brazil, a company spokesperson said.
