Applied Machinery Sales (AMS-Merlo), supplier of Merlo telehandlers in the U.S., has added Stephen Smith to its sales team.

As a territory manager, Smith will serve the Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania markets. He brings extensive experience in heavy equipment manufacturing, operations and sales to the position. He is based in Maryland.

“Stephens’s over all experience, and his hands-on knowledge of heavy equipment, is very beneficial as Merlo continues its successful growth within these markets,” said Garth McGillewie, president of AMS-Merlo.

Applied Machinery Sales, with corporate offices in Rock Hill, SC, brings Merlo telehandlers – in the 5,500- to 26,500-pound. class with heights ranging from 19 to 96 feet – to the U.S. market.
