Arcgen-Hilta, the UK-based producer of Arcgen, Hilta and SMC products is at the Intermat Middle East show in Abu Dhabi looking for distributors throughout the region and initial contacts look positive.

CEO Mark Hodgkins said, "this our first overseas show and it has been well worth our while being here looking for good distributors." He added that visitor numbers were not huge but the quality was high.

The company reports particular interest in its SMC mobile and static lighting towers.

In other areas of the world the company recently appointed dealers in Portugal and Australia and is looking at other regions as well as the Middle East.

Mr Hodgkins is particulary pleased with the new dealer in Australia. In its first two months as dealer, Sidney-based Powerlite Generators, which is also a FG Wilson genset dealer, has sold 36 SMC mobile lighting towers.
