Massimo Toni (right), the ex-Safi export manager who is now general manager and international sales director for ASClimber, said the “extreme modularity” system will comprise mast climbers with 2.0-2-2 tonne capacities on twin masts or hoists with 700-800 kg capacities. The system uses a robust triangular mast design.

ASClimber already manufactures a standard line of hoists and mast climbers, but Mr Toni said the new line-which will be launched at the APEX show-would distinguish the company from its many competitors. The new range is being developed with technical help from Xavier Lombard of XL Developpement.

ASClimber, which is part of the RESA scaffolding group in Spain, is based in Madrid and has manufacturing facilities in Cordoba.
