Atlas acquires Brazilian pump rental company

Swedish manufacturer Atlas Copco has announced the acquisition of Brazilian pump rental company Itubombas Locação Comércio Importação e Exportação Ltda (Itubombas).

Itubombas is based in Itu in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The company rents out diesel and electric driven centrifugal pumps to professional customers in the oil and gas, construction and mining sectors in Brazil.

The company employs around 40 staff, and recorded revenues of around BRL18 million (€5.17 million) in 2016. It will become part of the speciality rental division in Atlas Copco’s construction technique business area.

The purchase price has not been disclosed.
