Atlas Copco has formed a new business division, Construction Technique, with effect from July 1 that encompasses its hydraulic tools, portable compressors and generators, and road construction equipment that will be supported by a new dedicated service division.

According to CEO and president Ronnie Leten: "One of our ambitions is to further strengthen the focus on our construction customers by providing a dedicated organisation for all our construction products and services."

Adrian Ridge has been appointed as president of the new service division. He said: "Construction Service has been created to deliver sustainable growth, both for our customers and our organisation. To achieve this we intend to deliver a superior service experience to our customers."

According to Atlas Copco, no major changes to its global customer centre organisation will be seen overnight. However, depending on market size and potential in some regions, dedicated Construction Technique customer centres may be opened in the future.
