Crane and excavator manufacturer Atlas in Germany has appointed Drive Products USA as a distributor for Atlas cranes in the US market.

Drive Products, headquartered in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, offers truck mounted equipment and services. It was started in 1983 by Greg Edmonds and is still a family-run business, led by Robert Edmonds, as president and CEO.

Atlas is a long-established manufacturer of a wide range of hydraulic telescopic truck mounted loader cranes, in several series. Maximum load moment ratings are up to 60 tonne-metres, capacities are up to 13 tonnes and maximum reach is 22 metres.

Commenting on his company’s appointment Edmonds said, “With over 40 years of experience, Drive Products has established itself as one of North America’s leading truck equipment solutions providers. We’re staffed with trained professionals experienced in systems engineering, manufacturing, installation and repair services for mobile and industrial applications. Drive Products’ launch of the Atlas brand of cranes for the US market will occur through our established Wisconsin and Texas operations that include both Upfitting and Distribution divisions. Additionally, Drive Products is committed to bringing Work Ready Trucks to market through key Truck Dealer relationships for US crane markets on trucks sized from Class 5 to Class 8. Drive Products will also inventory cranes in both locations to support a growing distribution network in the United States. We look forward to working with Atlas and catering to our US customers’ needs and servicing them soon.”

From the manufacturer

For his part Brahim Stitou, Atlas Group CEO, said, “Atlas is the traditionally innovative manufacturer of machinery and equipment with more than 100 years of experience in this business. Drive Products and Atlas have the same priorities: The customer always comes first and we are committed to providing customers with top-quality products and service. For their needs, Atlas builds the exact loader crane that handles their jobs fast and cost-efficiently. Both elements – being at the forefront of technology and high cost-efficiency – are sound bases for success. We listen to our customers, combine this with our expertise and utilise this to produce high-performance machines. Therefore, I am sure that both of our companies will benefit from this partnership.”
