Republic of Ireland based Aughey Plant International has expanded its operations into the UK with the opening of a depot at Tamworth near Manchester that is intended to support its sales, rental, parts and service operations for the whole country. Brian Marshall, a former director of Brimonn Screens, is in charge of the new facility. In a statement, Aughey’s general manager Francis Duffy explained the rational behind the move. “Aughey has already established a strong presence in the Irish market for our range of mobile and static screening plants. However, this is partly due to our proximity to our customers. We believe the only way to provide fast and effective support in the UK is to have equipment and parts on the ground.” Aughey offers the three-model Horizon range of mobile screens, the A4, the recently introduced A6 and the A8.
