Joseph Feldstien, manager of MSA'S fall protection technical services is presented with and award for distinguished service by the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Joseph Feldstein, manager of MSA's fall protection technical services, has been presented with an award for distinguished service from ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers) a safety organisation with over 30000 members.

The ASSE Charles V Culbertson Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service in 2007-2008 recognises Mr Feldstein's work on the ANSI Z359-2007 Fall Protection Code and his service since 1999 as chairman of the US Technical Advisory Group to ISO TC94/SC4. The award recognises ASSE members whose volunteer service has helped advance the occupational safety, health and environmental profession.

Mr Feldstein has 18 years of experience in fall protection product design and standards development and is affiliated to a number of organisations which work towards improving safety when working at height. He has published articles in a number of journals including AI's US sister journal American Lift and Handlers.
