Awards time

The time to enter the first European Rental Awards is now. The awards website is up and running, giving companies all the information needed to enter. At the site you can download the award entry form, read the judging criteria for each award, and see contact details if you want additional guidance.
The awards judging panel as also been chosen (see box story), with the five judges providing an enormous range of rental and construction industry experience.
The awards will be presented on the evening of 4 June, at the European Rental Association's annual convention, and will be open to both members and non-ERA members. The awards coincide with the new International Rental Exhibition (IRE).
We have also now finalised the award categories. There have been some minor changes since the list was initially published last year, and the final eight categories are as follows:
• Rental Company of the Year (10 depots or more)
Who can enter? Open to all rental companies operating in Europe.
• Rental Company of the Year (under 10 depots)
Who can enter? Open to all rental companies operating in Europe.
• After Sales Service Award (for suppliers to the rental sector)
Who can enter? Any supplier to rental companies in Europe. Entry must be supported by at least one client testimonial.
• Best Rental Promotional Campaign
Who can enter? Open to all rental companies operating in Europe.
• The Rental Safety Award
Who can enter? Open to all rental companies operating in Europe.
• The Rental Environment Award
Who can enter? Open to all rental companies operating in Europe.
• Rental Product of the Year
Who can enter? Applies to products introduced during 2007. The award is open to any supplier that is selling its products in Europe.
• The ERA/IRN Rental Person of the Year
Who can enter? Companies or individuals in Europe's rental industry can nominate one of their own employees or colleagues, or individuals from other companies.
