A sizeable order for Sinoboom’s new rough terrain electric product range has been placed by Northern Ireland-based Balloo Hire. The order, for all-electric rough terrain scissors and articulating booms, was recently agreed during a visit by a team from Balloo to Sinoboom’s European head office in Ridderkerk.

Balloo, part of the Briggs Equipment UK group of companies, has opted for Sinoboom’s latest rough terrain scissor models, the 4069RE and the double-deck 5389RE, as well as the new AB18EJ articulating boom platform. All models come with 4WD rough terrain capability, are fitted with non-marking foam filled RT tyres and are powered by high capacity battery packs.

As part of the order, Balloo Hire snapped up the very first AB18EJ (AB600EJ) 20m working height electric articulating boom lift to arrive in Europe. Sinoboom’s UK & Ireland regional manager, Julie Houston Smyth, formally handed over the machine at the UK’s Vertikal Days show in Peterborough, during May, to Colin Magee, powered access manager for Balloo, and the Balloo team including Mark Grundy, divisional director, and Paul McClelland, fleet manager.

Houston Smyth added, “Balloo’s ongoing investment in Sinoboom equipment is a real demonstration of their trust in both the Sinoboom team and the products, and we look forward to continuing this business partnership into the future.”
