Frank Bardonaro has been promoted to president and chief executive officer at US crane rental company AmQuip. Formerly president and chief operating officer, Bardonaro takes over from Richard Bard who remains as AmQuip chairman.

"On behalf of the Board of Managers, I'm pleased to announce that Frank will take sole charge of our day-to-day business, reporting directly to the Board, "said Bard. "He has provided the leadership to manage AmQuip successfully through this recessionary downturn, and he has the support of our management team, customers and key suppliers," Bard continued.

"I'm delighted to have the Board's confidence in me and my management team," said Bardonaro. "We will continue our strong commitment to our customers, by acquiring the best new equipment and expanding into new customer markets with our customers and through key regional acquisitions," Bardonaro continued.
