Bell will use the Bauma show to announce the production launch of its new E-Series generation articulated dump trucks (ADTs), which it previewed at last year’s Intermat show.

The 30 tonne class B30E will be on display on the manufacturer’s stand – a US Tier 4 Interim/EU Stage IIIB-compliant machine that uses SCR aftertreatment technology to meet the current diesel exhaust emission regulations in Europe and the US.

Other on-board technology includes an automatically engaged Inter-axle Differential Lock (IDL) giving the vehicle full automatic traction control, as well as a reversing camera and a full colour screen in the cab.

In keeping with its practice of carrying through attributes from the larger Bell ADTs to the smaller trucks, the company has switched to Allison transmissions. Bell previously used Allison transmissions on its small C-series trucks and believes that the change offers improvement in performance as a result of greater efficiency.

Bell celebrate its 10th year of German manufacturing at the show.
