Rimmington initially joined the company in 2019, as the chief financial officer, but his new role will see him focusing on international expansion as well as bringing Biosite’s technology to a wider audience.

Rimmington, said, “My time at Biosite has been the most rewarding of my career so far and I’ve been inspired by the ingenuity and adaptability of the team and our ability to provide effective solutions for construction, which improve efficiency, safety and compliance on site.

“As well as performing consistently financially, we have also adapted to changing conditions and responded to the needs of the market – introducing facial recognition technology as a contactless method of access control, for example.”

Biosite is known for its biometric fingerprint algorithm which was developed specifically for the low quality fingerprints typically found in construction. Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, Biosite launched facial recognition technology for construction, to respond to increased demand for contactless site entry, along with a range of Covid-19 Response Solutions.
