The D/B Cappy Bisso launches the M/V Yellowfin

Energy and maritime support provider Bisso Marine launched three vessels in two recent projects.
Using the 700 tonne capacity derrick barge D/B Cappy Bisso, a crew of six launched the marine vessels M/V Yellowfin and M/V Bluefin in Lockport, Louisiana, USA. The two ocean-going tugs each weigh 520 tonnes.
The operation was especially challenging, says the company, because the Cappy Bisso had to be towed through Bayou Lafourche, which can be as shallow as 6 feet (2 m) in some areas.
In the second launch project, Bisso Marine used the D/B Lili Bisso to launch the new push boat Coon Wise in St. Rose, Louisiana.
The six-man crew spent about a day launching the 155 tonne push boat, which was about 80 feet (25 m) from the edge of the Mississippi River.
