Bobcat innovation leader to speak at industry electrification webinar
04 February 2026
Joel Honeyman, VP of global innovation at Bobcat, has been announced as an expert panellist for an upcoming industry webinar, Powering the Transition, which will examine the challenges and opportunities of electrification in off-highway equipment.

Honeyman will join Moog Construction’s Dr Nate Keller for the event, set for Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (9am CST / 4pm CET).
At Bobcat, Honeyman leads a global team focused on applying advanced technologies across the company’s product lines.
His work centres on practical ways to make machines more efficient, sustainable and easier to use by integrating emerging technologies such as electrification, autonomy and connectivity.
During the one-hour live session, hosted by KHL’s Julian Buckley, Honeyman and Keller will discuss how manufacturers are responding to growing sustainability expectations while balancing cost, complexity and market readiness.
Addressing challenges and opportunities
Although electrification and electromobility offer clear benefits in efficiency, performance and emissions reduction, adoption in off-highway applications has been uneven, with many customers citing total cost of ownership, serviceability and infrastructure limitations as ongoing concerns.
The panellists will explore how modular machine architectures and scalable electrification strategies can help address these barriers.

Discussion topics will include the role of simplified system design in reducing manufacturing complexity, the increasing importance of software in enabling adaptable machine configurations, and how improved diagnostics and serviceability can support long-term adoption.
The session will also consider market acceptance, including whether battery-electric solutions alone can meet current customer needs, or if flexible platforms capable of supporting multiple energy pathways may offer a more practical transition toward sustainability.
Join this webinar to:
- Learn practical strategies for integrating adaptive electrification into construction vehicles
- See how modular solutions reduce costs and accelerate product development
- Ask questions about real‑world implementation and scalability
