The Netherlands-based company will introduce the new stump grinder units, which feature the Vanguard V-Twin engine, across its European network as part of what is being called a strategic collaboration with engine manufacturer Briggs and Stratton.

The engine is coupled to two gear pumps, with the larger gear pump driving the cutter wheel while the smaller pump works the tilt and swing cylinders.

Paul Bramhall, Brigss & Stratton’s Senior Manager Marketing of Commercial Engines, said, “Our close collaboration with Boels Rental and its OEMs like Barreto is key to delivering the best product to the market. By aligning our Vanguard power solutions with Barreto’s equipment - based on Boels Rental’s needs and that of their customers - we can offer real added value.”
