Two new models from Bomag’s Series 5 range of six new tandem rollers have been presented at the Bauma China show.

On display were the 1.5 tonne BW 80 AD-5 and 4.3 tonne BW 138 AD-5 models, powered by 15.2 kW and 33.3 kW Tier IV-compliant engines respectively. The BW 80 AD-5 has a working width of 800 mm while the BW 138 AD-5 has a working width of 1.4 m.

On-board technology on the Series 5 machines includes Bomag’s Intelligent Vibration Control system, which is designed to prevent unwanted vibration at standstill or excessive speeds. The models are also designed to have quick service access, with central electrics integrated in the steering column, which itself unfolds to provide access.
