Skyjack has appointed industry veteran Brian Black as its new vice president of sales.

Mr Black has 35 years experience in the industry having worked in North America and elsewhere.

He began his career with Caterpillar, and over the years has worked with JLG, Snorkel, Grove Cranes, Genie, Terex and most recently Teupen, where he was director of sales.

Mr Black also served as a captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers where he gained valuable experience with heavy equipment.

Skyjack's president Brad Boehler said that the company was looking forward to benefiting from Mr Black's skills and experience, particularly his established industry contacts; "Skyjack has always been a relationship-oriented business, and we want to stay that way".

Mr Black's first order of business domestically includes a deepening of existing relationships with major North American rental companies, and taking a fresh look at product development and marketing.

Dave Stewart continues as vice president of sales for national accounts in North America.
