Bromma expansion

25 April 2008

Sweden-based Bromma Group has opened a second factory building in Malaysia. The company manufactured 520 telescopic crane spreaders in 2005 and is forecasting a rise in output to 750 this year. In 2005 Bromma Group sold around 1,900 spreaders, a 31% increase compared to 2004. First quarter 2006 sales were more than 300 units.

Bromma president, Olli Istalo, said that the location of manufacture was not important to customers, “From the beginning Bromma production had a clear ambition: one brand with identical quality. Our customers don't ask anymore where their Bromma spreader is coming from. It is not an important question. Spreaders are not 'made in Asia' or 'made in Scandinavia.' What matters is who builds them.”
