Bucher Hydraulics is looking to expand its presence in the US by acquiring Command Controls Corp. based in Elgin, IL. Neither party has disclosed a purchase price.

After the acqusition, Dan Vaughan, current CEO of Bucher Hydrualics, will lead Command Controls. All employees are expected to remain, as will the company's Elgin, IL location.

Command Controls specializes in manufacturing cartridge valves for hydraulic system solutions. Bucher holds a strong position in the European market, the company said, and in Jan. 2008, started working on its US expansion by purchasing Monarch Hydraulics.

The two companies' products compliment each other, according to Bucher, and combined with Monarch, efficiency improvements will happen across all manufacturing boards.
