Buckhurst Plant Hire invests €2.9m in Hyundai fleet

UK-based rental company Buckhurst Plant Hire has invested £2.5 million (€2.9 million) in a new fleet of Hyundai excavators. taken delivery of a new fleet of Hyundai excavators.

The company is headquartered in Rossendale, Lancashire, and comprises plant hire, utility plant hire and specialist plant and transport divisions.

Its six depots are spread across the north of England and Scotland, serving customers nationwide.

Its new machines included the HX140 and HX210AL models. These were delivered by local dealer Taylor & Braithwaite, of which Buckhurst is a long-time customer.

John Walsh, chairman Buckhurst Plant Hire said, “We find Hyundai Machines very reliable, efficient, and receive excellent feedback from our customers, making them a huge asset to our fleet. The service and support we receive from Taylor & Braithwaite has always been excellent.”

Buckhurst’s new fleet a  includes a 14-tonne HX140LC excavator, which has an operating weight of 14 tonnes and is equipped with a Cummins QSF 3.8 engine.

It is the 100th Hyundai machine the company has purchased from Taylor & Braithwaite since 2012. 

Since the beginning of 2021, the company has invested over £10 million (€11.5 million) in expanding and upgrading its rental fleet.

In addition to new excavators from manufacturers, including JCB, Sany and Case, the first three months of the year also saw the company add several JCB telehandlers and 70 Stage V telehandlers with reaches of 4m, 7m, 14m and 18m from Manitou.
