Caterpillar Mining has partnered with ThoroughTec Simulation in an effort to provide the latest-generation, simulator-based equipment training to its customers.
The goals of the partnership are to boost productivity, increase machine availability and create more sustainable mining operations, according to a statement from ThoroughTec.
Under the global cooperation agreement, Caterpillar will recommend ThoroughTec Simulation as its approved supplier of mining equipment simulators and will provide ThoroughTec exclusive access to confidential Cat machine technical data and engineering expertise to enable the global supplier of mining equipment simulators to continue strengthening its capabilities.
