Cemex Croatia sale off
13 April 2017
Global building materials company Cemex has announced that it will be remaining active in Croatia after a decision from the European Commission that prevented it from selling its Croatian operations to Duna-Drava Cement – a joint venture owned by HeidelbergCement and Schwenk Zement.
Since one of the closing conditions of the €230.9 million sale purchase agreement was to receive the necessary clearance from the Commission, Cemex will go on running the three cement plants, seven concrete plants, two aggregates quarries and network of maritime and land-based terminals it owns in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.
