Click It campaign reaches North America

19 March 2008

Click It, the North American version of the international Clunk Click campaign for harnesses, was launched during the SIA Convention in July in Long Beach, California. The campaign calls for all users of boom type platforms to wear a full body harness with a short restraint lanyard attached to a suitable anchor point.

The launch of the campaign coincided with the release of the AWPT technical guidance H1 on harnesses, which sets out clearly when and how harnesses should be used.

Thousands of Click It stickers have been printed and AWPT is seeking sponsors to get stickers on all boomtype machines. In the UK, where there are about 25,000 booms, approximately 15,000 sticker sets have been bought up since the campaign started – Clunk Click is on the march.
