Combination aggregate washing and screening

03 April 2013

Terex Washing Systems (TWS) is set to launch its new Aggresand combined aggregate washing and screening system with combined sand processing using a modular system that is pre-wired and plumbed to make it quick and easy to set up and maintain. The new system is the result of extensive research, part of which included the company’s first product development forums, and is due to get its official launch in quarter two of this year.

According to Sean Loughran, TWS director: “The AggreSand system will represent the epitome of washing in the marketplace and is a combination of significant enhancements and design changes to existing products as well as the introduction of new pioneering ideas. In our ongoing efforts to meet and exceed customer expectations, the AggreSand system will enable TWS customers to wash a wide range of materials at a high specification and produce up to five products.”

The system is made up of the H 12 hopper, a new 12 cubic meter (424 cubic foot) hopper feeder, a feed conveyor, the 165R-3 rinsing screen, a sump tank, centrifugal slurry pumps and hydrocyclones, and integrated conveyors. With maintenance and access a major concern during the system’s development, TWS has included 0.6 m (2 ft) access platforms on both sides of the unit to allow easy access to both the rinsing and dewatering screens. The slurry pumps are mounted on roll in-roll- out tables for easy access and maintenance and the main feed conveyor over the screen is hinged to allow greater screen access.
