Compact Power names JCB preferred supplier

20 February 2015

Manufacturer JCB said it would now supply mini excavators to more than 1000 Compact Power Equipment Rental (CPER) stores inside Home Depots outlets across North America.

CPER rents equipment in 1015 outlets owned by retailer The Home Depot throughout the US, and said it would now stock JCB 8029 and 8028 compact models.

CPER president and CEO Roger Braswell said, “JCB compact excavators are a great fit for our rental fleet. Long known for their quality, innovative and safe products, JCB excavators were an easy choice."

“We initiated a test program with JCB excavators in 2014. Following an extensive evaluation, including aftermarket parts and service support, we’ve selected JCB as a preferred supplier.

"Their team has been exceptionally easy to do business with, approaching our relationship as a true partnership and mutually beneficial growth opportunity.”

Keith Hoskins, director of JCB compact products, added, “JCB is placing a significant focus on the rental industry. Our enhanced relationship with CPER is extremely important to both our business and theirs.

"We are working very closely to provide the equipment needed with a delivery method conducive to their business model.”

As part of the Compact Power Equipment Rental agreement, the companies said JCB compact excavators would be featured at select Home Depot Pro Days events.
