Chief executive of UK rental company Ardent hire Solutions, Steve Corcoran, has stepped down after leading the formation of the company.

Ardent was formed by the merger of One Call Hire and Fork Rent – a deal that was struck with private equity backing in August 2015. Former Speedy Hire CEO Mr Corcoran lead the management team behind the deal.

The two private equity buyers were Searchlight Capital Partners and Duke Street.

An Ardent spokesperson said, “It was Steve’s vision to bring together One Call and Fork Rent and it was his tenacity that has led to the formation of Ardent Hire Solutions. The Board would like to thank Steve for all his efforts and wishes him well in the future.

“The board is delighted that Steve will remain with the business as a shareholder and in the capacity of special advisor and is looking forward to drawing on Steve’s vast experience in the sector.”
