Crane Hire, based in Ireland, has added a new nine-axle Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 wheeled mobile telescopic crane to its fleet.

The 750 tonne capacity crane has a lifting height of 143 metres when configured with its full jib and a maximum working radius of 112 metres. It is also capable of travelling with its boom and outriggers within the axle weight limit road regulations, the manufacturer said.

Jarlath O Leary, Crane Hire Ltd director, said, “The new 750 tonne crane is an excellent flagship to our already extensive crane fleet. The extended operating range, in height, weight and reach allows us to offer an enhanced service to our customers, here in Ireland and across the UK.

“When Crane Hire Ltd began business in the 1960s its first crane had a lifting capacity of 7.5 tonnes, our new crane now has 100 times that. That shows just how the business and technology has moved forward.”

Brian Lang, Liebherr Ireland sales manager, said, “The LTM 1750-9.1 is the first of its class in Ireland and adds a new dimension to the hire business. The new crane compliments their recent purchase of a 500 tonne Liebherr, offering a fully flexible fleet. It is a pleasure working with Crane Hire Ltd and I wish them well in their expansion.”
