CTE adds 51 m to Bizzocchi KJ-A range

10 March 2009

Standing tall at the Bizzocchi stand was the prototype of the 50.7 m working height KJ-A 510, designed for 26 t GVW carriers. Outreach of the new model is 34.5 m with 120 kg in the basket and 28 m with its maximum load of 450 kg.

The machine's jib and fly jib swivel through 180º, and its hydraulically-extendable aluminium basket rotates ±90º. Turret rotation is 540º, while a 360º continuous slewing is an option.

Sauer Danfoss controls level the basket and manage the fly jib movements automatically, as well as maintaining a constant tangential speed of the boom. Other automatic control features are outreach limitation, variable jacking, and return to travel position.

The KJ-A 51 competes the KJ-A range of the Bizzocchi brand, following the KJ-A 430, launched in December 2007, and the KJ-A 620, launched at Intermat. Each of the model's share turret, main boom, and basket designs across their access, fire fighting, and emergency services applications
