Italy-based CTE’s S3 Smart Stability System, launched at Bauma Munich in April, is now also available on the manufacturer’s 20m working height truck mounted articulated model.

The first CTE Zed 20.2 HVS with S3 has been delivered to Sicily, in CTE’s home country of Italy.

The Zed 20.2 HVS has a 20m working height, 8.7 m outreach and 300kg basket capacity. The S3 Smart Stability System has H frame stabilisers and adapts in real time to the conditions of use, basket load and geometry, automatically. There are various stabiliser configurations: fixed narrow jacking rear outriggers and variable jacking front outriggers.

The machine itself has two specific innovations: the home function feature which returns the platform to stowed position from any position and sets it to the most suitable and safe desired position to start manoeuvres, the second, the automatic stabilising system, allows the operator to stabilise and level the platform directly from the basket, and also to stored position.

This model also introduces a CAN-bus management system and a new hydraulic management system; along with variable engine speed and a ground control station with 7m cable wired console. It also has a diagnostic system common with other CTE platforms.
