Charles Wilson Plant (CW Plant) has bought 100 of FG Wilson's XD rental generators.

Charles Wilson Engineers (CW Plant) has ordered 100 generating sets from FG Wilson (Engineering) Ltd.

The order is mainly for FG Wilson's XD "premium rental range" and comprises units from 20 kVA up to 500 kVA. The XD gensets are powered by Perkins engines.

FG Wilson said the larger units are fitted with synchronising control systems, which allows them to operate in a number of ways, including stand alone prime, synchronising set-to-set or synchronising set-to-utility mains.

The order with FG Wilson follows another order a few months ago by CW Plant for 10 SDMO sets in the 30 to 100 kVA sizes.

CW Plant rents a wide range of equipment from heavy plant to tools from 12 depots in the southern half of the UK, including sites in London, Liverpool, Birmingham and Bristol.
