D&Ri100 update

12 June 2012

As normal, our annual ranking of the world's largest demolition companies in the May-June issue has generated considerable feedback. As stated, due to the nature of the methods we have to use to source some data, we can accept no responsibility for its accuracy.

A classic example was the UK's Squibb Demolition. The financial reporting service that we used gave a total figure for annual revenue in 2011 for this company in US Dollars as being 24.2 million. However, to Squibb subsequently, this number is correct but is for UK £ Sterling. Conversion using the rate at the time of compilation of the D&Ri100 would have resulted in a total of US$40, placing Squibb at 37 in the listing instead of at 59.
