UK crane rental company Delden Cranes has taken delivery of its latest Kobelco crawler crane, a CKE900G-2.

The 100 tonne capacity CKE900G-2 is the last of four units ordered a year ago. The first two were delivered in October 2017 and the remaining ones arrived at the end of April. Also around a year ago Delden ordered two 250 tonne capacity CKE2500G-2s. They were also delivered in April, bringing the total number of Kobelco crawler cranes in the Delden fleet to 11.

Commenting on his latest acquisition, Sean Nyland, Delden Cranes director, said, “The 100 tonne capacity CKE900G-2 is an excellent addition to our crawler crane fleet of 40 machines, which will help us to expand our already considerable UK operations, including a larger share of the all-important London market.

“We’ve been impressed by Kobelco’s engineering quality, the lifting duty performance of both the CKE900G-2 and the CKE2500G-2, the addition of the KCross system, and the excellent after sales back up we get from Mark Evans and his team in the UK.

“The addition of Kobelco’s new Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engine on both the CKE900G-2 and the CKE2500G-2, also means we are well placed to win work on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, including HS2.”

The latest CKE900-G2 was delivered with a 51.8 metre main boom and a fixed fly jib.
