With the goal of improving the safety of the wearer, the partnership will see helmets manufactured by France-based Delta equipped with the Mips safety system.

The system, which features a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows a multi-directional movement of 10 to 15mm, will initially be integrated into the Delta Plus ANSI certified Granite helmet.

It also helps to reduce the harmful rotational motion caused by angled impacts.

As well as construction helmets, the system has previously been deployed in bike, snow, climbing, motorsports and horse riding helmets.

David Naulin, fall arrest & head, global product line at Delta Plus, said, “Aligned by our people- and planet-first approaches, both Delta Plus and Mips are committed to safety for workers while upholding rigorous standards for social and environmental well being.”

Olof Rylander, Senior Business Developer Safety at Mips, said, “Delta Plus is a major global PPE developer and manufacturer: We are thrilled to collaborate with them to support our mission of leading the world to safer helmets.”

The helmets are expected to be available in spring.
