Windhoist UK put two new Demag wheeled mobile cranes straight to work on a wind turbine erection project in Sweden.

The AC 220-5 all terrains are the first two delivered as part of a four-unit order. Following in early 2020 will be an AC 300-6 and an AC 160-5. The 220 tonne capacity five axle AT has a 78 metre boom. The AC 300-6 is a 300 tonne capacity six axle model with an 80 metre boom. The five axle AC 160-5 lifts 160 tonnes and a 68 metre boom.

Commenting on the deal Lyle Sibbald, Demag sales manager, said, “Windhoist is one of the most recognised names in the wind turbine erection industry around the world and for them to place their trust in Demag with this four crane package is a sign of our long standing relationship, the strength of our support and quality of our products. Thank you to the whole team at Windhoist for your continued support.”
