Demolition Awards shortlists determined

08 September 2009

After careful and full discussion by the full judging panel, the shortlists for the first annual Demolition Awards can be announced.

All the judges were singularly impressed by both the quantity and quality of the entries that were received from demolition contractors and manufacturers from around the world. KHL would like to take this opportunity to thank all the judges who devoted their time and effort to make the judging process as simple and painless as possible.

The judging process took place efficiently and in a commendably short time, according to D&Ri editor Lindsay Gale.

"Given the number and quality of the entries received for the various categories, I had expected the decision-making process to be considerably more contentious than proved to be the case. In particular, the Contractor of the Year and Contract of the Year (arguably the most prestigious of the various awards on offer) were particularly popular and I did not envy the judges' task. Despite this, in both cases, it soon became clear who were the strongest contenders," said Mr Gale.

The eventual winners of each specific category will be announced at the Demolition Summit, which is being held in Amsterdam on Friday 6th November - you will need to be there!
