Demolition excavator survey

10 April 2008

D&Ri attempted to obtain basic statistics on the numbers of high reach and heavy-duty demolition spec'd excavators delivered/ordered worldwide during 2007 to identify the true size of this market niche. Despite initial indications that the majority of the OEMs and specialist modifiers involved in the sector would make information available, the actual response by the time of going to press has been somewhat less than comprehensive.

Given this, we feel that it would be in appropriate to publish incomplete information based on the data we have received to date. I would like to thank those companies that did respond for the time and effort they took to complete the questionnaires we sent out. We will repeat the information gathering exercise towards the end of this year – hopefully we will get a better response.
