Finland-based Dinolift has completed a project to customise five of its Dino 160XTII trailer mounts to be used by for the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The platforms were ordered by ALC Vehicles, based in the UK, which supplies the MoD with a range of products.

The customisation includes around 20 different options from the standard 160XTII machine, including special paintwork, adjustable tow height, additional safety features and full LED lighting.

“The 16m working height was one of the key requirements we started with. This was followed by number of different types of requirements for customer specific options,” said Teemu Ristelä, Dinolift UK sales manager. “The finished product shows what we can do when customer specifications are outside the standard options list.”

Central Platform Services, Dinolift’s UK partner, provided the showroom for the product in the early stages of the project and later hosted technical product reviews as well as the initial product delivery inspection with ALC in February, along with the LOLER inspection.

David Hincliff, ALC Vehicles project manager, added, “The Dinolift team has been exceptionally proactive in their approach to this project, their drive and collaborative approach to solve technical issues has delivered equipment that meets the challenging high standards of the UK Army for the years to come.”

One of the units will be on the Dino stand at Vertikal Days, taking plain in the UK during June.
