Ditch Witch launches new microtrencher

Ditch Witch has launched its new MT26 Microtrencher attachment for customers in the power sector.

The attachment, which joins the company’s existing MT9, MT12 and MT16 mircrotrenchers, has been designed to lower costs while increasing productivity.

It incorporates a hydraulic plunge for variable depth control and can cut clean trenches measuring from 1.5 to 3.0 inches (76.2 mm) wide, and up to 26in (660.4mm) in depth.

According to the manufacturer, this is the widest cut offered by any microtrencher currently on the market and at 26in deep, the trenches are suitable for the installation of a 2-inch fiber-optic or power cable with 2ft (0.6m) of ground cover...Sign in to continue reading.
