Following its sneak preview at the Hillhead show in the UK, Doosan has formally announced the launch of its largest Stage IIIB wheeled loader, the DL550-3, which weighs in at 31.5 tonnes and has a heaped bucket capacity of 5.4 cubic metres (190 cubic feet).

Power comes from a Scania DC13 SCR six cylinder diesel that delivers 283 kW (380 hp), coupled to a six gear ZF transmission that results in minimised fuel consumption. The machine has three engine work modes - Normal, Eco and Power.

All Doosan’s new generation of large wheel loaders are fitted with load sensing variable hydraulic piston pumps to improve performance and further minimise fuel consumption.
