Drill bits live longer

20 March 2008

Torquato drilling accessories has recently introduced a full range of high performance PDC drilling bits for geothermal, mining, quarry, water well and oil field work over from 98 mm through 311 mm. The PDC drilling bits are designed for use in soft to medium consolidated rock formations including shales, limestones and sandstones. The drilling bits feature steel body construction with premium PDC cutters. The PDC cutters are force-balanced for maximum drilling performance and speed. Large flushing holes are provided to remove cuttings from the bit face and to keep the cutting surfaces cool. The company said the drilling bits include faster penetration rates and longer drill bit service life in comparison to traditional three cone roller bits.
