DSL picks up Presidents' award

14 April 2014

Scaffolding specialist Deborah Services Ltd. (DSL) has received the Presidents' award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2014 will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, UK, in May. The President’s award is only presented to companies which have achieved 10 consecutive gold awards.

It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme not only looks at accident records but also entrants’ health and safety management including factors such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.

Group SHEQ manager for DSL, Neill Moffat said, “This demonstrates how we continually strive to lift the bar when it comes to working towards excellence in occupational health and safety. Being safe is more than a priority for us. It’s a value because priorities tend to change whereas values don’t.”
