Italian manufacturer DF Ecology, a subsidiary of Towerlight SRL, has introduced a compact dust suppression unit with the launch of the Smart Dustfighter. The new unit weighs in at 77 kg (170 lb), is mounted on wheels for easy transport and takes its power from mains electricity. It delivers coverage up to 13 m (43 ft) and consumes from 3.6 to 5.8 litres (0.8 to 1.3 gallons) per minute at 2.5 Bar via a quick release 12.7 mm (0.5 in) standard water hose connection.

"We produced the Smart Dustfighter following requests from here and abroad from site workers that needed to reduce dust in a concentrated area," explained Paul Hay, from TowerLight UK, DF Ecology's UK distributor. "We believe that the Smart Dustfighter will become an essential item for contractors who need to cut slabs, block paving, bricks and similar material," he added.
