Elliott celebrates 70th

09 February 2018

US manufacturer of truck mounted material handling work platforms, cranes and digger derricks, Elliott Equipment Company, is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2018.

The company was founded in 1948 by Dick Elliott in Omaha, Nebraska, where it is still based, and claimed to have been one of the pioneers in developing truck mounted aerial equipment.

Elliott said its products were adopted early by electrical contractors and utilities companies as post-war America constructed its electrical grid. Its HiReach aerial lift was also used by state and municipal transportation departments for sign and lighting installation and maintenance during the building of the interstate highway system.

Jim Glazer, president of Elliott, commented, “Elliott has been in business for 70 years because we truly care about our customers. We are a family-owned business and are proud of the relationships we have developed with our users over the years. We are honoured to celebrate this milestone, and are excited about our future. We have a great team and our best years are definitely still to come.”
