Encore, encore

17 October 2008

The first crawler crane to undergo a total refurbishment at the Encore workshop in Dubai, U.A.E. has shipped to Saudi Industrial Construction and Engineering Projects. The Manitowoc Crane Care team at the facility spent 4,000 hours refurbishing the Model 4000W, which is now working on a pipeline project in Riyadh. There are three other Manitowoc crawler cranes awaiting refurbishment work, which will all ship to customers in the region.

Mike Bage, Manitowoc Crane Care director for the Middle East, said demand for refurbished cranes remains high. "Although the Middle East is seeing large numbers of new cranes arriving, there remains very strong interest in refurbished cranes," he said. "With Encore, our customers get strong performance from a proven machine backed with a Manitowoc Crane Care warranty."
