Entries flood in for rental awards

By Murray Pollok07 April 2008

There has been a "fantastic response" to the first European Rental Awards being organised by the European Rental Association (ERA) and International Rental News (IRN).

The final deadline for entries was 28 March, but when the final submissions are counted the organisers expect there to be over 70 entries from well over 50 companies.

"It has been a fantastic response for the first awards", said Graham Anderson, head of events at KHL Group, publisher of IRN, "but it's not just the quantity that has been pleasing, it is the consistently high quality. Companies have really thought about how to showcase their best practices."

The awards are designed to promote and reward excellence in the European rental sector, both in terms of the performance of rental companies and in product design and after sales support by equipment suppliers.

The judging panel will meet in late April to decide on the shortlisted companies for the eight award categories. The awards will be presented during ERA's Gala Dinner taking place on 4 June at the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam, during the International Rental Exhibition and the ERA's annual convention.
